My story…
The journey that led me to this work began in my mid-twenties, when I sat down for my very first therapy session.
At the time, I was struggling in my love life and wanted to understand what was standing in the way of the connection I longed for. More than thirty-five years ago, therapy still carried a lot of stigma. I felt ashamed—as if needing help meant I was broken. The idea of letting someone else see the parts of me I kept hidden was terrifying.
But reaching out was the start of everything. What began as one-on-one sessions soon expanded when my therapist suggested group therapy. I was skeptical—group sounded intimidating, even uncomfortable. But I trusted her. And stepping into that circle changed my life.
Through group, I found healing, community, and answers I never expected. During that same period, as I began to practice what I was learning out in the world, I met my late husband—a more than three-decade relationship that deeply shaped my life and growth. That season of change awakened something in me: a calling to help others find the kind of transformation I had experienced. I left my career as a graphic designer, earned my Master’s in Social Work from NYU, and devoted my life to this work.
For three decades, I worked as a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist before evolving fully into personal-growth coaching. The foundation of therapy continues to shape everything I do, but my focus now is on helping people clear what gets in the way of their growth through an approach that pairs emotional insight with meaningful action.
After decades in the therapy world, I reached a turning point. Somewhere along the way, I realized I had begun deferring to the rules and expertise of others instead of fully trusting my own intuition—the very thing that had made my work most powerful. The framework of therapy had served me deeply and given me a beautiful foundation, but it had also become a form of Energetic Clutter—something that once supported me but was now taking up space that needed to be freed.
So, I made the risky—and ultimately liberating—decision to release my clinical license. It was an act of alignment, not rebellion. Doing so allowed me to bring all of myself to the work: the therapist, the coach, the creative, and the intuitive. Now, I let intuition guide each move and trust in its magic to lead me—and my clients—where we most need to go.
Whether I’m sitting with one person in a deeply honest conversation or guiding a group through shared discovery, I’m continually in awe of what unfolds when people allow themselves to be seen and supported.
And regardless of whether I’m wearing my therapist hat of the past or my coaching lens of today, that truth has never changed: the real magic happens when insight meets action—when understanding yourself leads to choosing yourself, and your life begins to feel more congruent, peaceful, and authentically your own.
An essential part of my mission is to de-stigmatize therapy and make personal growth feel accessible and even fun. I know from experience that asking for support isn’t weakness—it’s one of the strongest choices you can make.
Today, that mission comes to life through a variety of experiences—from self-paced programs and intimate groups to creative workshops and one-on-one coaching—all gathered within The Growth Menu, where you can explore the different ways to work together.
Outside of my work, my life is nourished by my two incredible daughters, my dachshund Dudley, hikes in the woods, fireside evenings, laughter with friends, and a really good rom-com.
